Atheist Response to the new age religion, the vibrations of energy .. 4th Density?
Hello, I have a friend who is into "New Age" religion. Last night, we discussed the plausibility of the doctrine, it has recently subscribed including: "The arrival of the 4th Wave Front dimensional provide a vibration of energy on all matter in our region of the Galaxy, transforming thus the material 4-D. Those who have reached the Ascension by tuning their body and spirit of the 4th dimensional energies will be able to move in this new physical reality with ease. "We need these ideas are based in science. As an atheist, I asked him to prove his convictions me with evidence. He said it's just something you "feel" and he gets his information during meditation and channeling toward "people in high places." It is troubling to me that my friend is convinced of these crazy ideas but I do not seem to be passing through him. Could someone give some advice on how to prove that this is a big load of crap?
You are certainly a good friend to look after him. Looks like he needs much help! Your description, it is clear he has no idea of what science or how it works, and maybe he can not distinguish between the evidence helpful to crank and opinion. This is may be hard to help, to be honest, but you should definitely try. Have you read the books by Michael Shermer? His "Why do people think of things bizarre "might be useful to you, if not your friend. You're a good friend. I hope it works for you both.
