How does Descartes attempt to prove the existence of the material world in Meditation VI?

Is he sucessful? Why or why not?

Descartes proves that God is good and He exists. Therefore the world as we perceive it cannot be a dream, that we each, individually are tricked into believing, by an evil God.

His success or failure hinges on whether his proofs of God’s existence and goodness are valid. You must decide that for yourself because no one has yet agreed on that answer.
