Tibetan monks can raise their body temperature through meditation. Why not help other religions in this area?

In monastery in northern India, thinly clad Tibetan monks sat quietly in a room where the temperature was 40 degrees Fahrenheit cold. Using a yoga technique known as g Tum-Mo, they entered a state of deep meditation. Other monks soaked 3-by-6-foot leaves in cold water (49 degrees) and placed on the shoulders of the meditator. For the unskilled, the envelopes would produce uncontrolled freezing chills. Http: / / www.news.harvard.edu/gazette/2002/04.18/09-tummo.html

I heard stories of Siberia as well. There were these three nuns who were stripped of their clothing and thrown to the temperature below zero degrees in their barracks in Siberia. They were expected to die there, with freezing temperatures of 30 and under (does not include a wind chill factor), exposed skin freezes in less than a minute. Their guards in prison was released after one hour expected to be dragging their bodies in cold stone. Instead, they found women linked in singing hymns. The snow had melted in a diameter of 10 feet. They were Catholic nuns.
