Why mankind a spiritual being?

I want to know where the psychology of gravitate towards anything spiritual comes. Is it a comfort thing? psychology read them all, but leaving public vote

Unable to explain their environment. The need to believe that bad things happen for a reason. The fear that there is no meaning to our existence. The fear that there is no order, just chaos. Inability to understand concepts such as infinite, endless nothingness. The primitive fear that the fight against these things inspires in our minds. I think it's obnoxious to say that it is about power and control. There is evidence that religion could be partly about this, but the need for spirituality and belief in the supernatural just quite normal and universal feelings and perceptions of the universe we live, I think, but do not quote me on that, that belief in a supernatural force is universal to all cultures and periods known to date, which would suggest that either there is a supernatural force or it meets a need humans.
