Chances are, you are just starting your yoga practice, or if you want to take the next step in advancement. That's why I came up with this list of five tips for you help choose the best carpet for your needs.

The first consideration is the type of yoga you do. More intense forms of yoga such as Ashtanga, are greatly helped by either a thick sticky yoga mat, yoga mat or cotton.

Make sure the length and breadth of the work for you. Last thing you want to do in the midst of an asana is to adjust your mate or trying to cramp your pose to fit a carpet that is too small. Many places have either rolls of carpet material that you will reduce the length of your own use, or you can get extra long. They also do yoga mats in sizes and children.

Personal preference should play a key role in your decision. This will be your personal carpet, that you will be fixed at least for many hours. Get something you like!
