first meditation
I’m going to my first meditation class, is there anything I need to know before I go?

I don’t know if I’ll like it. Does anyone practice it, recommend it?

I practiced Zen meditation with a group for a while. We used to sit on cushions on the floor, although not everyone does that.

Cushions were provided and you don’t have to do any fancy poses, although some do. Cross legged is fine, but loose comfortable clothes will help.

A blanket or towel may be handy to sit on, because I found my ankles sometimes got uncomfortable on the floor.

Take an extra layer; a pullover or jumper, because after sitting still for a while you may start to feel a little cold.

The group I belonged to also did a bit of walking meditation to get the circulation going. And afterwards people shared a cup of tea, so maybe take a small amount of money in case there’s a charge.

Different groups working different ways so that’s probably all I can tell you. Just ‘go with the flow’ and enjoy your class! I did and it helped me!

Many people are looking to strengthen their presence online business growth and increase website traffic. I continually have questions about what it takes to create a more successful online social networking. Being that I am an entrepreneur, small business owner and received a broad training in sales and marketing, I think I took a lot of knowledge for granted that the "common sense".

So I started searching the Web to see what others have to offer on this subject, I have found is that most of the so-called "experts" have said clearly had no idea what they were talking, just trying to get your name or your email address (you will be part of their number) or you were just trying to sell something. So I decided to do what I could make a few key elements in growing a business whether on Internet or a real "Brick & border. "The truth is that the same rules apply! (BTW, you can put this article or bookmark because it will provide useful resources and links.)

1. Location, location, location! - Like everyone knows who has never started a company, your position can either make you or break you. In the real world, ideal locations are on busy intersections, Popular malls, neighborhoods with high income and stains easily accessible. Similarly, in order to have a website online with success or the company, your position is of utmost importance. The difference is that in the cyber world your position is not limited to your name, web address, but all links that can direct traffic to your website. In other words, you need to have links to your site in places with more traffic. You you also need to be in as many directories, forums and blogs as possible. Do not spend a lot of money to pay someone else to do all the work for you. Just spend some time each day to add links in some of the most visible. Here are some "must have "social networks, you must be a part of Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr and Netlog. Also, join the site and you can add a link to your website and post your information free!

2. Buys money but enthusiasm sells! - One of the first Lessons sale is always present your product or service as if it was the best thing since sliced bread! I saw people on average Sales to sell mediocre products not because it was so great, but simply because they seemed to love so much. Buyers are often purchase periods of "person" and not so much the question. Go to a lot of cars and most successful people are always selling one is able to convey the enjoyment to the buyer. Besides, if you are not happy with your company - who else will? Always present your company colorful words, slogans, logos, and humor videos. 3. Money, Sex & Lies! - This rule not many may not like, but it is used continuously because it works! Consistency in society is that People are always trying to move forward. Thus, the company that comes and shows how a person claiming they are "getting rich" can prosper in an economy. More often than not, the company can really get rich, but they do so at your naivety and ignorance. This of why there is a new MLM that appears every two days. Sex is always a uniform "trigger" to encourage people to buy a product. It Just look at any commercial, video or Internet (porn industry for example). Even if the product has nothing to do with sex appeal many people still use it to attract the attention of the buyer. And last but not least there are many companies that are up through their teeth to get your money in your hands. They do all sorts of promises, not only can not keep, but honestly did not intend well try to keep it. Now, let me be clear, not at all what I advocate these strategies. Personally, I believe in karma and "what goes around comes around. "Well, you can move forward in the short term, I am sure that your" success "at the expense of others will be short term … Bernie Madoff ask! The reason I mention these three "taboo" is because they work, but obviously they do not coincide not with all business missions. Personally, I run a "Network" spiritual, but also to recognize how certain subjects always seem to attract people's attention. The key is to taste and tact integrate these taboos in a way that can take a buyer's eyes initially, but in truth can redirect potential buyer to your product or service in the hope of improving their lives somehow. An example of this is that I believe that yoga helps develop the spiritual life of a person. However, because yoga also helps strengthen the body and mind, it has beneficial side effects that can improve a person's sexual life. A person may not be interested by greater spirituality may be interested in sex and therefore more interested in buying your product or service that makes it a win-win for both parties. Figure out how you can use these taboos in a way that is professional and consistent with the objectives of your business. An effective technique is to put "people controversial" discussions on blogs and learn to make their comments. 4. It takes money to make money! - Many people think they can become rich without spending a penny. Unfortunately, this is simply not possible. The simple laws of capitalism do not allow for it. Either you have a job that generates the income you can then leach into your business or you have money lent by a bank to start business or you already have considerable resources you have. Of Anyway, something does not come from nothing. But since most small businesses can get loans from a bank in a risky business then you must be smart in the case of spending your money. Depending on your budget, you should always view at least three competitors for a product or service. If customers Possible issues are already using this product and get their opinions and experience. Finally, at the start does not overlap with promotional campaigns at once. Experience with a flurry of emails, then perhaps a pay-per-click advertising or online. Use this as monitoring tools for analysis available or to see what you have in exchange for your money. 5. Being the king of the hill or I should say Solitaire! - This essentially means that when You may want to find a way to get others to speak on your behalf or to promote your business for you. Many people do not like companies pyramid and think of them as scams. The truth is a matter of ALL is a pyramid. The government, Microsoft, Exxon, etc. are all Harpo pyramids. Of course, the person at the top of the pyramid may have the greatest power and influence, but they always have someone to answer and that person is the customer. The most effective strategy is to try to find a way to make your customers of your pyramid. In other words, how Can I get a client to have a personal interest in the success of my business? Maybe a free gift, discount, coupon, recognition, Article or special privilege may inspire some clients to become a spokesperson for your company. Be creative and think of the idea that may coincide with the mission of your company. Sites such as LiveJournal, HackerNews, Gawker Media and Mahalo responses are useful in this regard.

6. Be unique! - This may seem rather simple but is actually a challenge. Let's be honest, there are not new inventions fall from the sky every day. And it is hard to be different as a small business owner when there are already so established businesses and large enterprises to compete with. The key is to first be passionate about what it is you. And it does a unique way that has not been done before. Then you have to trust your instincts and leave a little of your "madness" to shine through. Do not be afraid of you. You're the only person in the world that your experience and perspective to share with the world. If you are not the creative type, then find a friend or a professional who is and to ensure that your company logo, name and picture off! Can you breath through all the live streams like Twitter, Friendfeed, Lijit, and Utterz Jaiku.

7. This is not what you know but who you know "- This rule is more true than ever. As the world becomes a smaller place and that technology makes things easier and more accessible, there comes a flood of people jumping at every new idea in the sunshine. You can have the greatest idea, over or the cause and still may never take off without using the "right" people. That meeting new people, networking and relationships is imperative. Everyone you meet in person or on a social network should ideally be at least one friend or acquaintance. This can happen if you encounter as sincere and genuine. When you are able to help another, you should. You never know how the support can be returned one day. People who know you thought of them when they were in need (hopefully) you remember where they can be able to help. In addition, depending on what your company is then you must surround yourself with people (even if only virtually) who share the same passions, interests and objectives. Do not underestimate the fries "small. The people who do not seem to have a large following or fan base may be the next person on Oprah!

8. If it sounds too good to be true … then it is not! - It never ceases to amaze me scams that go with that people buy in. There is always the next "get rich quick" that will make you rich or help you realize your dreams. There are companies that claim even "guarantee" you the results. Of course, after they have received your money well will show you the fine print that somehow exempts them from their so-called "guarantee". But if you do your hard work, you will find all the answers you need.

9. Persistence pays! - As the famous goes "Rome was not built in one day!" Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Ray Kroc, or any other contractor as successful overnight. Therefore it is important to find something you're passionate about. Hopefully, when you really appreciate what you do then it should not want to work for you. If you focus on the presentation of your company or do in the best light, with professionalism and consistency, then you have been successful in your own heart. When you love what you do, it will display your fan base and financial success will come in time. Much part of businesses fail within the first year, so that something like 90% fail within the first five years. Be flexible, adaptable and consistent. The hard work does pay off!

10. Patience is a virtue! - When you laid the foundations of your presence Online websites, social networks, social bookmarks, links, videos, forums and blogs it becomes time to let "marinate". It takes time to see the highest ranking in search engines and other sites to come across your company and want to promote or link to it. Link exchanges are useful. And links to your site manager lets you higher in search engines. So do not be lazy. Take the time tags and keywords effective. Check what competitors or leaders in the industry. It is also important, not only what you do online, but what you made in the real world. Put signs on your vehicle, leave business cards, flyers to attractive, join the local chamber of commerce, and go to local festivals, parks and social organizations. Do not be arrogant to the point that people want to duck when they see you coming, but be conscious enough to "take" your company, if and how that can help the person your are meeting for the first time. Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Yoga Teaching Service (Part 3)

Another clear fact about Internet advertising, for your Yoga teaching services, is the return-on-investment is there. Let’s face it, only people my age, or older, still read the Yellow Pages. Forget the papers, unless you can afford to be on the front page or right next to a mailing label. Most of the people who read the paper, from cover to cover, are older than I am and have a lot of time. Most of them don’t advise their younger family members to participate in Yoga. There are a few exceptions; it’s just not the rule.

The bottom line is that you will never find a better advertising tool, at this time, than your own web site. You can get a free web site, Blog, or a paid web site for next to nothing (average $150 per year). If you can’t do it, find someone young who will. If you are like me, and you want to do it yourself and have your hand held, go to Network Solutions. You can get a “start up” site for around $75 per year.

There are always better deals around the Internet, but the Network Solutions template sites are “user friendly” for the less technical people like me. You don’t have to know HTML, and even a dinosaur like me can learn how to put one together over a weekend. If you have your written content in a Microsoft Word format, and some pictures ready to go; you will be up and running in a day.

The only drawback with templates, or template sites, is that some are not search engine friendly. This will have an adverse effect on your search engine rankings, but if you are reaching into a specific geographic area, with specific keywords such as “Los Angeles Yoga,” you have only so many Yoga teachers struggling for a front page rank. Some templates are more search engine friendly than others, so you should do some research before purchasing anything.

In other words, you are not competing with every Yoga studio and Ashram on the Internet. My studio in North Providence is not relevant to the Yoga student searching for classes in Los Angeles. The keywords that I focus on are related to my geographic area and to the services specific to our wellness center.

Therefore, the competition for any local Yoga teacher, within a specific geographic area, is limited. So, it should not be hard to establish yourself in the rankings, even if you are located in a large city. Every large city has specific keywords that refer to the exact neighborhood where you teach Yoga.

It does not matter if another Yoga teacher comes up first under the keywords “California Yoga,” if a prospective Yoga student Lives at the other end of the state.

Recollections of the Early Days of Aikido in Great Britain

In 1957, I was studying Judo and Karate at the Abbe School of Budo at the “Hut” in Hillingdon, Middlesex, a suburb of London. My teacher was Ken Williams Sensei, and we were all students of Kenshiro Abbe Sensei (8th dan in Judo, 6th dan in Aikido, and 5th dan in Karate and Kendo). At that time, very few people in the United Kingdom had heard of Aikido.

Around 1957, Abbe Sensei told Mr Williams that he had recieved a letter from O-Sensei saying that instuctors outside of Japan had permission to teach Aikido to anyone who wished to learn it. Mr Williams was Abbe Sensei’s first Aikido student. Eventually, Abbe Sensei made Mr Williams National Coach for Aikido, and I became Mr Williams assistant - which I remained for approximately 15 years.

Abbe Sensei’s Aikido was the prewar style of Aiki-Jutsu, which was very physical. Both Abbe Sensei and Williams Sensei were excellent teachers, who worked very hard to train us while promoting Aikido to an initially unreceptive public. Abbe Sensei and Williams brought eight of us up to 1st dan. At the time, we were the only dan grades in Great Britain, and we were all in one dojo. Sunday morning practice was for dan grades only. Williams Sensei would lock the doors to the dojo, and the real serious practice would start. Williams Sensei would allow the younger dan grades to try and prove themselves against him, but they had no success.

Williams Sensei started to visit other dojos and to introduce Aikido. He was a highly respected Judo teacher, and this helped him to arrange visits to Judo clubs. Occasionally, a Judo instructor would allow a few students to practice Aikido in a corner of the mat.

In the early days, the training was extremely difficult with the emphasis on very strenuous exercise. My students and I used to train four or five nights a week as well as Sunday mornings. After running for several miles, we would return to the mat and perform 200 push-ups on the backs of our wrists, which we then followed with general practice and a further two hours of hard practice.

When I was graded 1st dan by Abbe Sensei, Williams Sensei instructed me to take a good student as an assistant. I chose a young man of 17 years of age by the name of Derek Eastman, who is now 3rd dan and Technical Director or our Basingstoke Headquarters. Mr Eastman is still a loyal friend after all these years.

When Mr Eastman reached 1st dan and I was 2nd dan, William Sensei advised us to travel and spread the word of Aikido. Both Mr Eastman and I gave up our jobs and travelled around the United Kingdom. It was very difficult to introduce Aikido, because most people had never heard of it.
Mr Eastman and I left home and headed for the Midlands without much money or hope. We would visit Judo and Katate clubs, sports centers, etc. In some areas, where Williams sensei had already introduced Aikido, we would find accommodation with the students, and we would get paid a small fee for teaching. Where there was no Aikido at all, we would take jobs for a few days to feed ourselves. In one area, we worked as assistants to a funeral director. We had to goto the morgue, collect the bodies. And take them upto the chapel. (Once the boss caught me in the chapel of rest with a young local maiden whom I was laying to rest - one who was alive and well. He was very angry.)

We also worked as road sweepers, wearing bowler hats which attracted a great deal of attention from the girls.

In the north of England, the girls loved to hear the London or southern accent, and this was a great help with invitations for dinner. But it was still a struggle to survive.

We also worked in steel factories and had many other jobs around the country. Without a doubt, the worst was repairing an old railway line. We called it the “railway of death.” Needless to say, we did not stay on that job very long.

Still as I look back on life in Aikido, I think that this is was a really great time. As with all memories, we tend to forget the bad times and remember the good. We contributed greatly to the promotion of Aikido, and I do not regret one day of it.

Williams Sensei would send out all the Dan grades out to teach and to demonstrate in the hope that people would watch us and listen to us. Our teaching was free of charge, and this often enabled us to obtain free accommodation with the students. Although Williams Sensei was not a particularly religious man, I remember him saying, “You are my disciples, and now you must go out and teach the gospel of Aikido.”

In the earley 60’s, Williams Sensei called all the Dan grades together and said that he wanted us to attend the longest and most important seminar to date. It was to be held in Cardiff in Wales. The demonstrations and interviews were to be televised.
As usual, our accommodations were to be with local students. When we arrived at the Cardiff dojo - Williams Sensei and eight Dan grades - all the students crowded around saying, “Sensei, would you please stay with me?” One student politely took my arm and said, “Sensei I would be very pleased if you would stay with me at Sunnybank Farm.” After living in London, I thought it would be a great treat for me to stay at the farm for the weekend.
The student and I drove for miles into the wilds of rural Wales, eventually arriving at a very remote farmhouse. The weather seemed very cold but dry.
I woke up the next morning at 5am with cocks crowing and the cows doing whatever cows do to create noise. After I shock my head and realized where I was, I looked out of the window. To my horror, I saw that the snow had fallen and drifted right up to the bedroom windows.
We were snowed in for three days until a neighbour from miles away dug us out with a mechanical digger. I missed the seminar and the television appearance. It was then that I resolved to stay a city boy.

When Abbe Sensei told us that he had invited a new teacher from Japan to visit us, we were all quite excited. We had never seen a Japanese Aikido master other then Abbe Sensei.
The new teacher was Nakazono Sensei (then 6th Dan). Abbe Sensei told us that Nakazono Sensei would teach us for two weeks. It was two weeks of hell. Nakazono Sensei had us practicing on the mat for three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon, and then the dan grades had to practice an additional three hours in the evening. During this seminar there were many broken bones and other injuries.
Abbe Sensei had taught us to be strong and not be thrown unless the technique was effective - that being strong showed respect for your teacher. He also taught ukes to attack on balance so as not make the throw to easy. As he taught, Abbe Sensei would hit us with a shinai and explain that, while his English was not very good, the shinai spoke English fluently. So, in those early years, that was what we knew - the strong fighting art of Aikido
At first, when Nakazono Sensei saw how we practiced, he was angry with us and perplexed. He did not understand. But, at the end of the seminar, Abbe Sensei explained why we were the way we were. Then Nakazono Sensei realized that we were genuine students with great respect for him and a strong desire to learn.
In England, after a hard practice, it is traditional to finish the evening off with a pint of beer at the local pub. But Nakazono Sensei was keeping us on the mat until 10pm, and the pubs closed at 10:30pm. So Williams Sensei said to me, “Ellis, as my assistant, it is your duty to ask Sensei if we can leave the mat at 9pm so we can have time to get to the pub.” I asked Nakazono Sensei (what a fool I was!), and he became angry. He said that he had travelled across the world to teach us Aikido and that all we wanted to do was go to the pub. What he didn’t seem to understand was that this was our vacation from work. (I reminded Nakazono Sensei of this incident when we met later in Santa Fe, and we were able to laugh about it.)

In 1963, I was Nakazono Sansei’s assistant at a national martial arts demonstration at the Royal Albert Hall in London. That was a proud moment for me, and also for my parents, as this was the first they had ever seen me in a Aikido demonstration.

There was a vast difference between Abbe Sensei’s old style Aikido and Nakazono Sensei’s new style, which was far more flowing. The new way seemed so much softer and yet very strong.
We quickly adapted to this new style. Then Abbe Sensei dropped a “bombshell” on us: we would all have to be regraded to meet the current standards of Hombu Dojo. The grading was physical and mentally demanding. At its end, Abbe Sensei lined all the eight Dan grades up and said that he accepted our ranks - with the exception of one. He looked at that one for a timeless moment and said, “Necessary sell your gi while price is high.” Even after 37 years, I have not forgotten that sentence. Abbe Sensei took away that students rank.

In the early 1960’s I was asked to conduct an Aikido demonstration at the British Judo Council’s National Judo Championships in London. Among the VIPs in attendance were the Japanese Ambassador and Lady Baden Powell, the wife of Lord Baden Powell, who was then the head of the World Organization of Boy Scouts. Kenshiro Abbe and Otani Sensei emphasized how important this evening was and that they wanted an impressive display from the Aikido people.
While we were waiting to go on, a Judo man came up to Otani Sensei who was speaking to the Japanese Ambassador, and said, “Hey, Smiler.” I couldn’t believe the disrespect, and took the man to one side. We were having a confrontation when Derek Eastman, who was outside smoking a cigarette, told me that we were due on stage immediately. We rushed onto the stage.
As I performed the first technique, Mr.Eastman’s cigarettes and matches fell out of his gi onto the stage. I was already upset from the incident with the Judo man, and now the embarrassment! I smashed Mr Eastman all over the tatami and back again.
Later, when we were doing a knife technique with a live blade the knife went through my gi and I felt the cold blade against my stomach. I thought, “My God, it’s in me!” I dropped onto my knees with Mr Eastman in an immobilization, and I looked down at the front row. Looking up at me with shock and horror was her Ladyship. I knew by the look on her face that any hopes we had of her sponsoring Aikido were over.
After the display, her Ladyship said, “That was the most horrific display of violence I have ever witnessed.”
The Japanese Ambassador congratulated us on a excellent demonstration. (On inspection, I realized that the blade had only grazed me.)

Abbe Sensei brought over from Paris a young 5th Dan, Noro Sensei - the first sensei we had seen in a white hakama. Noro Sensei was perhaps the most graceful of all the teachers I have ever seen to date.
There then followed many other teachers: Tada Sensei, Hishomura Sensei, Tadashi Abbe Sensei, Tamura Sensei and Chiba Sensei. I was with Chiba Sensei for several years.

Chiba Sensei and I taught Aikido in a dojo at The Times newspaper in London. We were asked to take part in a 30-minute broadcast on the BBC world radio. Sensei asked me to do all the talking because, at the time his English was not very good. A television producer who had heard the broadcast asked if we would do a demonstration on Anglican TV. We agreed.
While we were waiting for our slot on TV, we were taken to a hospitality room, where the had just about any drink you can imagine. The hostess asked if we would like drinks. I thought a Jim Beam would go down well, and I said, “Sensei can we have a drink?” “Yes,” he replied, but before I could order my Jim Beam he ordered two orange juices.

Some of the Aikido I have seen in recent years depresses me because it can only be done by two Aikidoists who practice together on a regular basis - like a pair of dancers who know each others moves. But Chiba Sensei’s style of Aikido is effective. If I wanted Yoga, I would study; if I wanted dance, I would take dancing lessons. I believe that Aikido not only has to look good, but also be effective.

Once I had to go to see Abbe Sensei at his apartment in Acton, London. (He shared a house with Otani Sensei, a 7th Dan in Judo, and his son Tomio Otani, a good friend of mine who was the national coach for Kendo.)
The house was like a martial arts museum with suits of armor, swords, and other weapons scattered around.

From childhood, athletics has been one of my great loves. But the one sport I cannot watch is our English game of cricket. So you can imagine my disappointment when I came to the house and found Abbe Sensei, Whom I viewed almost like a god, watching the cricket, “The World Series.” The windows were open, and small birds and pigeons were flying around the room.
Carefully choosing my words, I said, “Sensei, I didn’t realize that you liked cricket.”
“I don’t,” he said. “I watch this boring, stupid game every day, and still don’t understand it.”
He then said something very true: “They call it the World Series, but it is only played in countries that Britain conquered.”

Eventually, Williams Sensei, whom I believe to the best Aikidoist the United Kingdom has ever produced, began studying Ki Aikido with Tohei Sensei while a group to while I belong remained traditional.

Williams Sensei strictly controlled Aikido in the United Kingdom for approximately 15 years. No one would start a dojo or take a seminar without consulting with him first. But Aikido has now grown far beyond our early expectations, and many factors have broken up the special unit of dan grades that once existed.

I was not politically minded in the old days, and I have not changed. Sometimes students telephone me and ask what style I practiceor what organization I belong to. Before they tell me their allegiance, I just say, “if you practice Aikido, you are more than welcome to attend our dojo.”

On my next visit to the US, I hope to visit Alaska. The secretary of the Ellis School of Traditional Aikido (ESTA) in Alamogordo, Mrs. Aida Prazak, has moved to North Pole in Alaska, with her husband, who is a captain in the United States Air Force, and she hopes to open an Aikido school in the area in the near future.
Whan I was last in the United States, I taught in New Mexico at the El Paso University, where I recieved a very warm welcome. I also taught at Roswell Military Academy and Holloman Air Force Base.
When I last saw Nakazono Sensei he asked, “What are you doing now?” I told him how things were. He said, “Henry, you think you are only 20 years of age. You should slow down. You are a old man.” But, if I refrain from looking in the mirror, I can go on pretending I am a young man in heart and mind - thanks to a lifetime of Aikido.

My path to Jung: How I found 10,000 feet under

It turned out that I have many dreams confirming on training, application training, and Jung. From the beginning, however, my road was paved not by Jung's dreams or visions initiation (At least I do not remember), but by a sequence of events in my life. These events have been for me my college years. Never started to land in the religious tradition of my parents, Judaism, I was left on my own to discover the answers to questions eternal life. Most of my early interests were in Eastern philosophy and practices, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism and - or at least the western versions of their teaching by Alan Watts, Ram Dass, Stephen, and others.

At interests - spirituality and psychology - is parallel in my life, rarely touching each other (with one exception I remember is a class at Long Beach State University called "yoga and psychology). internships year-round clinics. I dutifully sought a position with the financial support and location desirable (I'm interested in living a simple lifestyle-Back to earth somewhere in the Pacific Northwest). For a sequence of events strange, just before the deadline for applications for a school counselor suggested I apply to Camarillo State Hospital in California. I watched it in my guide placement and it does not seem very inviting. It offered the minimum allocation NIMH, just $ 3.600 for the year! I had already applied to twelve other places! "Well, I thought," I suppose I could ask Camarillo country. They chose the hospital Psychiatric Camarillo as their first choice because of the Jungian analyst on the staff! I think it was probably the internship in the country with a Jungian hospital analyst there, Russ Lockhart was asked to make a presentation to staff of psychology. He showed the film face to face and commented Jung things briefly discussed in the interview with the BBC. I do not remember what Russ said, only that I was moved and attracted. Psychologists and the other students showed little interest or not, but the two trainees on the east coast and I was hungry for more. We collectively asked Russ us meet informally once a week, plus a snack, and he accepted. It was not really a seminar, but more the opportunity to ask questions and discuss Russ different thoughts and ideas of Jung. I do not understand everything he said but what I did understand a lot of sense, much more than what I was taught elsewhere in the hospital. I knew somehow he was right. This resonance with something in me. The seeds begin to germinate.

I started reading books and articles by Jung, and began working with an analyst in Los Angeles. At the hospital, Russ asked our small group to use the therapy sandtray and supervised my work with adolescent patient. I remember being struck by the way Russ was respectful of the human psyche. He encouraged me to take seriously the words of my psychotic patients (she said her twin babies had been killed by agents of the hospital). He taught me to pay attention to the images and trends in the unconscious, and listen to what the soul has been said. Elsewhere in the hospital, I saw patients medicated, behavioral treatment, and learned to relax I had other tasks to complete first.

I felt that I needed to start my career psychology and start earning a living. So I decided to do a mental health center in sorry Rock Springs, Wyoming (why there is another strange twist of fate, I'm not here). Soon, however, I began to feel quite sterile myself. I was empty and depressed. My life was missing something, but I do not know what it was. I was lost and confused professional, too. I tried my best with my clients, but I learned so many different therapeutic modalities (my doctoral program was eclectic), I found my way out of the wasteland of Wyoming and my own infertility as well. Attending a conference in Denver on humanistic psychology, I happened to attend a lecture by Jungian analyst, Jeff Raff. objective. Upon reflection, I am impressed by the way things auspiciously developed - how lucky I was to go to Denver for a well paid job, which I allowed both time and money for analysis and it was a need for analysands for the control phase of training, they emerged. It was a remarkable assertion and a process sometimes magical, but not one without setbacks and difficulties as well. process - the mythical nature of the training I attended. I began to question what I was doing in training. I was not one of my exams and had to wait One year I could not stand on my own authority, now? I stewed and thought of all these things. Then I made the dream following:

Arny Mindell (who was an analyst of my analyst, I think someone like my grandfather spiritual). What I question is that we do and we have decided to withdraw. For that, I am considered a heretic.
Then comes the alchemist and speaks with me. He said we have done only part of the album. It is still an important step to fill. He told me that I am the only one who can. It is the cooking and processing of the substance in an alchemical

I finally found the depth and grounding for which I been looking.

The study reveals that the clients of the more explicitly faith-based programs did best in gaining in social capital and were highly positive in evaluating the religious components of their programs. For-profit programs tended to do the best in terms of their clients finding employment. Overall, the religiously active respondents tended to experience better outcomes than those who were not religiously active but surprisingly, the religiously active and non-active tended to do equally well in faith-based programs.Faith, Hope, and Jobs concludes with three sets of concrete recommendations for public policymakers, social service program managers, and researchers.
