2 Important Rules to avoid injury Yoga

It never ceases to amaze me how long I've seen seasoned yogis injure themselves when practicing yoga. This is independent of the type of yoga practice and independent of the form they are well. So it scares me to think that if it is state expert yogis what could be the state of those who are just beginning this wonderful science.

Well, do not worry this article I will provide two simple guidelines for the practice of yoga will go a long way to help you avoid unnecessary injuries when making your practice. After all, you've decided to do yoga to get healthy and happy, it is totally unacceptable that this sweetness, the science of healing should become the source of your injuries and pain.

2 Simple Rules to avoid injury Yoga:

1. Warm-up:

Although this common sense, I noticed that the following special occasions when the heating is unfortunately ignored and the yogi eventually risking injury. Here are three occasions when you must be especially vigilant and avoid injury due to lack of heating.

A. You are late to class:

Many times I see students who come to the right end, skip class and start doing the exercises and postures the class is to make full stream. This is a recipe for disaster. If you are late coming into a class that has already grown, you must first very slowly and gently until you feel ready to enter with the rest of the students.

B. You are a Demonstration Spot

Often, if you're a yoga teacher or just a regular yoga student, opportunities arise when you are invited to, or if you want, give a quick demonstration of the pose or exercise. If you encounter this situation immediately antenna injury should increase. This type of spot demonstration is perhaps the most common reason for injury. Do not try to show at this time, but not posture or exercise smoothly and safely as you can. Trying to suddenly show Plough Pose, is the best way to hurt your back, or worse, break the neck.

C. You do not have time is enough!

Here is another dangerous situation that often leads to jump a good warm-up and jump ahead for an ambitious package or routine, when you do not have enough time to adapt to your practice complete. In this situation, it is very important make an adjustment to any routine and difficult posture and cautious regarding the efforts you go to it. Tone it down in such situations and live to practice another day.

2. Do not Compete:

Yoga is not an Olympic sport. It not a tournament. It is not a competition. It is amazing how when you put a group of people and for the same activity, comparisons and judgments are immediately in the picture. As a yogi, you must remember the golden rule that yoga is about and you. It depends not what is done, it is important how you do. Forget about competing and comparing with others and do your practice intelligently, mindfully and most imports of all, safely. In comparison often leads to push yourself further than you should have, which is perhaps the number one reason for incurring injuries.

Abstract:

If you follow these two simple rules to warm up anything, and not too much more, I think you enjoy a healthy yoga practice and long term, the benefits are immeasurable.

As a full-time-mom ( all oldsters are fulltime in my viewpoint – you never stop working to give your children the best!) and a business-owner, I find that there are never enough hours in the day to do everything I should. Exercise is a way to do that. When you work out at home with a yoga fitness DVD, you can slide in your exercise if you have time. Before dawn when the house is quiet, when the kids sleep or the family’s watching TV downstairs, or as a family activity that inspires everybody in the household to be active and share time together.

Another concern that many folks have about yoga exercise is that it might be more than we can afford. However, remember that yoga was developed by ascetics in some of the most impoverished areas of the Earth. Though you don’t “need” anything to practice yoga, and you can even learn it for free with some workout videos from the library or picture books that show you step by step what to do, I advise that you start with two necessities : A yoga mat to enhance your comfort and safety while doing the poses, and a good instructional yoga video to guide you thru a workout or 2 that you can follow and enjoy again and again.

For the cost of a class or 2 at the local yoga studio, you can get everything you need to workout at home. Besides the yoga workout DVD, you may want to pick up a yoga mat, or some cute yoga clothes, but these are not needed to get started.

I hope I induce you to look into yoga exercise as a total body workout, or a supplement to your current exercise routine. The benefits are simply wonderful, and the positive impact of your new fitness will routine will only get bigger the more you practice.
