I make lists of reading and wanted to make a "meditation" playlist. What song (s) and / or artist (S) are best for this guy? In meditation, it could be anything between sitting at the beach relaxing or sitting at home course of my day. I would not mind variety, Thanks,

In fact, I tried an experiment in college where I listened to the song exactly the same across the repeated studying for an exam, thinking that the idea of the song bring back memories of what I was studying. It does not work. Nevertheless, I chose a song that was catchy and had a good rhythm, "Tyler" by Toadies. Enjoy.

I want to be a solitary Buddhist … Help?

Wow. I really want to answer this better than I can. My sister is strongly Buddhist so I can give you some info from her if you want. First and foremost, find your local Buddhist group. Of there, you experience, people and learn their lessons. Its very pleased spiritual religion. You talk too intense, which makes me think you do not fully understand it. there are no strict rules. Essentially, you find your inner peace and try to achieve to enlightenment through the most personally significant. You can choose to be a [the Dalai vegetarian sausage eat] meat, be fully serious as a monk / religious or practical aspects that while you live day by day. Just remember to respect all beings live, not to injure or kill and eat the meat if you say a prayer for the animal who gave his life. Do not go to China or countries involved. They practice a form of corruption of Buddhism [is] a simplistic statement and controversial. While Buddhism may be found in Tibet or India. Dalai Lama is in India as he was exiled from Tibet by the Chinese, who mistakenly believe it is their country. Fat Buddha is an attempt by the Chinese propaganda corrupt their own. But in saying that Chinese Buddhism is now a recognized form with many believers, making it essentially a true form. [There are many of dark stories around this issue. Consider treatment of German Jews] is my limited knowledge, but I really recommend it. Personally, I follow the path of yoga in a very weak with a bit of Buddhism.

Why are gong to make me cry or creepy?

Whenever I hear Star Spangled Banner or Amazing Grace or any kind of patriotic songs I get tears in their eyes or get goose bumps or even when the oath of allegiance is being said. I am a military wife if these songs are for me a deep sense and some of the songs are played at the funeral of my military buddies, but it is strange reaction that can come from me. Someone else this subject? Yes maybe my husband is in Iraq right now on his 4th tour over there.

LSD + Mushrooms + Meditation = Astral Projection?

I am a big into meditating. I like utilizing drugs as tools to connect with the spirit world through mediation. I have been preparing to do Mushrooms and LSD together and meditate in the mountains, far away from everything. I seek a spiritual rebirth. Can anyone provide any insights or help on how to astral project using these two drugs and meditation?

First off, as other people here said “hallucinogens do not equate to meditation.” At best they can give you an idea of where you can go/what to work for in meditation (once you are not on any substances), but if you intend to seriously pursue meditation it’s extremely counter productive.

Second, I normally tell people to avoid astral project because I know of a few cases where someone has “not been able to return to their body.” When people are under the effects of certain drugs, it makes things like this more likely to happen, so if by some miracle you manage to astral project (and not just think you are b/c lsd messes with your perceptions).

I’ve also heard of a few people having bad experiences when they started messing with the psychic realm while on mushrooms.

Besides that, if you’re serious about pursuing meditation, I’m a big fan of the Taoist method (provided you have one of the correct methods within it; there are a lot), and if you want I can point you in the direction of where you’d want to go with that.

What artist/music would you recommend for active meditation/ breathwork?

I am looking for music with a heavy drum emphasis and and a tribal feel to it. I want it to stir up deep emotions and move the soul. That being said, feel free to suggest anything.
