Your BF / GF / husband / wife never been your koan?

koan: something you meditate until you become so in touch with it you see everything else through it. Is that special someone never become so close to you they were the background THR filter in your mind, by which you have seen, the voice that you heard, etc.??? * I could be a little sore on the definition of koan. I studied a few years ago and some people reminded me today so if I get the wrong idea please feel not correct me, but try to stick to the idea of the question. Let me add a few more bad philosophy to the question. I think it was Kant who said that emotions were like a lens through which we see the magical world THW. From my experience while true. Well, someone special has never been the lenses for you? Are you still with this person? How did this relationship go?

Formal training in Zen koans used to break our habitual ways of perceiving and functioning in the world. As long-time Zen student, I came to their value as small gifts that open the consciousness lever. As a longtime partner in a marriage, I saw how my wife can also serve same role. Marriage reveals all the many ways my attachments, desires and projections help to see clearly the relationship and operating profit. I understand your question to ask if we see our relationship through our concepts, feelings, impulses, etc. Yes, we all do. But this kind of perception prevents us from seeing the real truth of the moment - the lenses are too shady with feelings, etc. A good marriage not let us out with that. It's my experience anyway. I hope this helps!
