Please help me decide which colors to use?

I want to paint my meditation room, and I know for sure I want the ceiling to be purple, but I can’t decide whether the walls should be purple, pink or a combination of both…please click on the link and help me decide. Which layout looks better

Personally I’d consider a “muddy” sort of blue or green-gray. When you’re sitting and staring for a while, you’ll start to see the color negative of whatever you’re looking at. For example, if you stare at a red object, then look at a white wall, you’ll “see” an outline of the object in green on the wall. Getting something that’s close to gray (which is its own negative) minimizes this effect.

Meditation can be extremely helpful both physically and mentally – and it is scientifically proven. But sometimes, in cases serious things like depression can not be resolved without medication. In addition, psychotic disorders (such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia) can be solved with meditation alone. I think that meditation – with a good diet, exercise and any peaceful way of life around – will you make a much better place than most people today.

Is this the sound of a bell (like a bell Buddhist meditation) negative for my pet rabbit ears?

The bell is used creates a sound that is sharp and lingers a bit before being struck again. The first time my rabbit heard the noise, he ran under the bed very upset. I do not know if he was just scared or unusual noise if it was actually hurt his ears?

Buddhism: Is Mindfulness (Vipassana) Meditation and Analytical Mediation the same?

How does one practice these meditations? And, how does one practice Purification Meditation, say at the end of the day?

Vipassana meditation is sometimes considered “analytical” meditation, although the latter term is rarely used.

To the best of my knowledge, the Vipassana/Theravada tradition does not emphasize purification meditation. This type of meditation is most common in the Tibetan/Tantric tradition. Here’s a good description of it:
