theravada meditation

Are people climbing a mountain for the peak of enlightenment, or are they already there but just unaware?

Eg. Theravada loving-kindness meditation seems hard because you have to work yourself up to having loving kindness to all beings, as you start from the bottom/nothing to try cultivate it. The opposite methods- like that of Papaji/Gangaji- say you already have that full loving-kindness for all beings naturally, so let your natural heart shine- like the sun or the rain, it’ll land on anything it comes in contact with.

Enlightenment is simply a path that we all share. Obviously we are all at different points on this spiritual path, so it’s a matter of patience and allowance for others to learn the lessons we’ve already learned. Being a highly spiritual person does not make one any better or different than anyone else, it just means you’re a little further along in the path! :-D
