How can yoga help me?

Ever wondered why yoga is recommended for people with chronic fatigue syndrome and me?

Many people with CFS are told that they should attempt classified exercise. Walk short distances each day is a great way to "practice" – even if it is fair to the other side of the room, then put in place the length of the garden. Another way to "exercise" is Yoga.

Yoga offers physical well-being and mental, and it lets you live, where most other forms of physical activity you leave tired, even exhausted. But Yoga is more than physical exercise, and can be extremely valuable for people trying to treat their chronic fatigue syndrome. It promotes calm in the body, helping the immune system and trigger your vital organs.

If you have moderate to severe CFS, it is likely that you will take no, or very minimal physical activity. You can spend much of your day in the same position, or in a chair or bed, and I guess you will not demonstrate good posture. The physical yoga postures help to stretch the muscles, relieve tension, and these stretches can really help in cases where your muscles are tight, and learning to let go and relax. Yoga should always be relaxation and softness, it is important that you listen to your body and throughout know your limits. For example – a few days when the muscles are too 'Achey, stretching between them are likely to cause discomfort or pain. But sitting in a cross legged position for 5 minutes with a relaxed atmosphere to the back and a calm wind is even Yoga!

Much of the practice of yoga is meditation. Calming and relaxing the mind. Having too much time to think and worry about your health may be worse, and if meditation is a great way to relax and calm the mind – what which then allows with sleep problems and anxiety.

Yoga is really a spiritual practice and above all it can help you spiritually. Letting go of your "old life" is something that is difficult to reconcile with, for better or for worse. A healthy mind, body and spirit is essential for all round well-being.

Yoga can be a very complex subject and I have only scratched the surface in this brief article, but I also believe that Yoga is simple. The simplest thing possible.
