How to treat dry mouth
If you talk a lot during the day, you may find that your mouth is dry, even if you drink plenty of water. Here are some things that worked for me:
1. Add the lemon juice to your water
Taste acidity stimulates saliva flow. And remember to drink at least 8 (or more!) Glasses of water per day. Keep sipping that water throughout the day. Air conditioning heating and dehydration, and you need water, even more than you think! Keep a humidifier near your home while you work so your body can absorb more moisture. It is ideal for voice.
2. Try chewing gum between calls PHONE
The gum stimulates saliva flow. Use sugar-free to prevent tooth decay. Remember to leave your mouth before you speak!
3. Avoid salty foods
Even if you can not add additional salt to your food, there are many hidden sodium in the diet U.S. food vehicles, particularly in fast-food restaurants, Chinese food, meats and processed foods. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Bring your lunch to work and to read the labels of foods you buy. There are many low-sodium alternatives and many cookbooks on the market that focus the low salt / high taste.
4. A dry mouth could be a side effect of some drugs
Antihistamines are a real culprit. Explain the problem to your doctor or pharmacist and see if something you take exacerbates the problem. Maybe they can provide alternative. Mention the problem to your dentist as well. Chronic dry mouth can contribute to tooth decay and gum disease, so make sure get regular checkups.
5. Stress is DRY MOUTH EIRP
Make a mental check system. Is your stress level to work more than it should be? Yoga exercises and meditation daily work for me. There are relaxation tapes and videos on the market.
6. Bite Your LANGUAGE
No kidding! Slide your tongue over the side and gently bite * * between your molars upper and lower. Caution, do not hurt you. You do not need to bite hard. This stimulates the flow of saliva and moisten your mouth. Is useful when you have no access to water.
